Tusq-D Honey Lemon Cough Lozenges are soothing, antitussive and antiseptic lozenges that are used to relive dry cough associated with sore throat. It contains amylmetacresol and dextromethorphan as active ingredients that are effective in managing dry cough associated with sore throat.
Dextromethorphan is an antitussive that acts on the brain and raises the threshold of the cough center in the brain and it also acts on the airway tract and reduces cough impulses. Amylmetacresol acts as an antiseptic which acts by denaturing the proteins present in bacteria and external proteins of viruses hence killing bacteria and viruses and its anesthetic activity is due to its action on sodium channels.
Always take Tusq-D Honey Lemon Cough Lozenges as directed by your doctor. It is for oral administration, to be sucked and dissolved slowly in the mouth. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. SAFETY ADVICE
- Always take Tusq-D Honey Lemon Cough Lozenges as directed by your doctor
- Recommended dosage for children (between 6 to 12 years) is 1 lozenge to be sucked slowly in the mouth for every 4 hours (maximum of 6 lozenges in a day). For adults and children (over 12 years of age) is 1 lozenge to be sucked slowly in the mouth for every 4 hours (maximum 12 lozenges in a day). Do not exceed the recommended dosage
