Q: How does CYP L Syrup work?
A: CYP L SYRUP is a combination of Cyproheptadine, Tricholine and Sorbitol, where Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant which works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite. Tricholine helps in removing bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered. Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
