INTRODUCTION ABOUT ENACE 5MG TABLET
ENACE 5MG TABLET contains Enalapril, which belongs to the group of medicines called Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart failure. It also manages the onset of signs of symptoms of heart failure (such as difficulty breathing, swollen ankles and feet, or extreme tiredness even after a mild physical activity).
Before taking ENACE 5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems (other than hypertension and heart failure). You must also inform your doctor if you are on a low-salt diet, have diabetes, or are severely dehydrated due to any recent sickness (such as vomiting or diarrhea).
ENACE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe hypotension (low blood pressure) and in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to increased risk of side effects. Stop taking ENACE 5MG TABLET and inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while undergoing therapy with ENACE 5MG TABLET.
ENACE 5MG TABLET may cause dizziness while standing up suddenly or while changing positions, especially during the initial days of the therapy. Therefore, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines as a precaution. Also, avoid consumption of alcohol, as it could aggravate your dizziness.
ENACE 5MG TABLET may reduce your blood sugar levels and electrolyte levels. Therefore, your doctor will constantly monitor your blood sugar levels and electrolyte levels during the therapy to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.
Other most common side effects of taking ENACE 5MG TABLET are dizziness, headache, tiredness, and weakness. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects worsen.

HOW ENACE 5MG TABLET WORKS
ENACE 5MG TABLET effectively reduces blood pressure and signs of heart failure. It works by blocking the actions of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme that causes narrowing of blood vessels and an increase in blood pressure. As a result, it relaxes the blood vessels and allows blood to flow more smoothly across the blood vessels with less pressure.
It also improves blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart muscles, which reduces strain on the heart, improves heart functions, and manages the risks of heart failure.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take ENACE 5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. ENACE 5MG TABLET can be taken with or without food.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition. Do not stop taking ENACE 5MG TABLET unless your doctor advises you to stop.

COMMON

- vertigo (spinning sensation)
- sore throat or hoarseness in voice
- constipation, indigestion
- dry mouth, ulcers in the stomach
- excessive sweating, skin redness with itching, flushing
- hair loss
- difficulty in getting erection
- muscle cramps
- tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
RARE
- abnormal dreams, sleep problems
- enlargement of breasts in men
- swelling of glands in neck, underarms, or groin
Stop taking ENACE 5MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- signs of allergic reactions (such as skin rash, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or throat, which can lead to difficulty breathing or swallowing)
- severe skin reactions (such as skin rash with itching and redness, blistering and peeling of skin, skin swelling, and inflammation of the mucous membrane with severe joint pain and fever)
- sever stomach pain due to obstruction of the gut or inflammation of pancreas
- dizziness, fainting or lightheadedness, excessive sweating following an exercise or after regular activities (signs of low RBC count in blood)
- chest pain, shortness of breath (signs of fluid buildup in the lungs)
- signs of liver problems (such as fever, muscle pain, rashes, itching, stomach pain, diarrhea, discoloration of eyes, skin, and urine)
- increased bleeding or bruising
