Description
INTRODUCTION ABOUT LASMA 10MG TABLET
LASMA 10MG TABLET contains Montelukast which belongs to the group of medicines called Leukotriene Receptor Antagonists. It is used to manage the signs and symptoms of asthma and seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and in adolescents (aged 15 years or older). It can also be used to manage bronchospasm (narrowing of airways) triggered due to exercise.
Asthma is a long-term respiratory disease in which your airways become inflamed, swollen and narrowed. It also causes excessive mucous secretion in the airways which makes it difficult for the air to pass through, leading to unpleasant symptoms like wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest pain and/or cough.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis (also known as hay fever) is an allergic condition triggered due to exposure of oneself towards various allergens (such as pollens, dusts, mould or flakes of skin from certain animals). It is often characterized by inflammation of the inner lining of nose accompanied by nasal congestion, repeated sneezing and/or a red, watery or itchy eyes.
LASMA 10MG TABLET can only manage you from getting an asthmatic attack. It will not stop an asthma attack that has been started already. Therefore, always carry an inhaled rescue medicine with you to subside the symptoms.
Take LASMA 10MG TABLET for the duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better control over the symptoms. Before taking LASMA 10MG TABLET inform your doctor if you are allergic to montelukast or have any pre-existing disease condition.
You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking LASMA 10MG TABLET as a precaution. The most common side effects of taking LASMA 10MG TABLET are stomach pain, headache, upper respiratory tract infections, skin rash, nausea and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect troubles you.

HOW LASMA 10MG TABLET WORKS
LASMA 10MG TABLET effectively controls the symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis, where montelukast acts by blocking the release of certain chemicals (leukotrienes) in the respiratory tract that triggers the allergic and inflammatory response.
