Meftal Forte Cream is a pain reliever which is primarily used for pain relief. It is a combination medicine used to relieve minor joint or muscle pain. Musculoskeletal pain refers to pain in the muscles, ligaments, bones, tendons, and nerves. This pain occurs in just one area of the body, like your back. You can also have it all over your body if you have a widespread situation like fibromyalgia (extreme muscle pain).

Meftal Forte Cream is a combination drug containing camphor, menthol, and methyl salicylate. Camphor is a mild pain reliever which gives relieves the pain. Methyl salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (applied directly to relieve pain). They work initially by cooling the skin, followed by warming it up. This action helps in improving blood circulation and provides relief from pain.

Take Meftal Forte Cream as instructed by your doctor. You may experience rashes, redness, itching, and skin irritation. Most of these side effects of Meftal Forte Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Meftal Forte Cream is for external use only. Never encourage self-medication or suggest your medicine to someone else. Before taking Meftal Forte Cream inform your doctor if you have any allergy to Meftal Forte Cream. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are allergic to this medicine or taking any other medication. Do not use Meftal Forte Cream topical on a baby or young child without a doctor’s recommendation. Do not put Meftal Forte Cream on the injured skin.

Treatment of Pain relief

Methyl salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (applied directly to relieve pain). They work initially by cooling the skin, followed by warming it up. This action helps in improving blood circulation and provides relief from pain.

Meftal Forte Cream is for topical use (use on the skin surface) only. Meftal Forte Cream should be applied to the affected area with a clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Before applying Meftal Forte Cream wash your hands with soap and water and then gently rub the gel on the skin (affected area). Avoid taking a shower for at least 1 hour after or 30 minutes before the application. Do not apply Meftal Forte Cream to open wounds, external heat, or occlusive dressings to the treated joints. Avoid contact of Meftal Forte Cream with eyes and mucous membranes.
