UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP contains Cholecalciferol which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogs. It is used to manage Vitamin D deficiency. This may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D during pregnancy.
Along with this management, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods that are rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the management to understand the existing condition.
UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP is not recommended for use if you have high blood or urine levels of calcium, kidney stones or serious kidney problems and high levels of Vitamin D.
Before taking UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have heart or kidney disease, sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart and kidneys) or if you are taking medicines containing vitamin D, increase parathyroid hormone in your blood or rickets (problems in bone).
UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 12 years of age). It should be used with caution in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of taking UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP are increased calcium level in the blood or urine. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual effects.

- To manage or manage vitamin D deficiency (in adults, elderly and children over 12 years of age).
HOW UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP WORKS
UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus by increasing their absorption from the gut and reducing the amount removed by the kidneys and it is a fat-soluble vitamin.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. You may also mix the dose with a small amount of cold or lukewarm food immediately before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP
UNCOMMON
- increased calcium in the blood (hypercalcaemia) (symptoms include nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, constipation, stomach ache, bone pain, extreme thirst, increased urination, muscle weakness, drowsiness and confusion)
- increased calcium in the urine (hypercalciuria)
RARE
- skin rash
- itching
- raised itchy rash (hives)
Stop taking UPRISE D3 60K SYRUP and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- high calcium levels in blood (signs include severe nausea, vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite and irregular heartbeat)
- signs of impaired kidney function (signs include increased urination including night times, excess thirst, increased blood pressure)
- severe allergic reaction (including rash, itching/swelling especially of the face/tongue/throat severe dizziness and trouble breathing)
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Skin rash:
Do not scratch the affected area. Wear protective clothing while going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Consult your doctor if the symptoms worsen.
